As the morning of May 31st rolled into San Antonio, cadets from Lackland Cadet Squadron found themselves busy. By request of the Stinson Municipal Airport management, the Lackland Cadet Squadron was called in to present the colors.

Many were on hand for the Groundbreaking Ceremony at Stinson Municipal Airport, as they were to be starting on a 4.8 Million dollar expansion. Being the second oldest airport in the nation, the ceremony was of huge importance to local officials. The expansion, which was to effect Police, Fire, State, and Military uniits, only brought cause for their attendence.

After a slight weather delay, the Color Guard took position and stood ready for the performance. The five person Color Guard team consisted of C/AB Kris Kerr, C/SSgt Colleen Rojas, C/AB Damian Moulder, C/CMSgt Gus Rojas, and C/Amn Mary Helen Garcia. The presentation was carried out on the flight line, where they were centered upon the audience. After the presentation, the Color Guard was given outstanding compliments from military officials, as well as State Representative Carlos Uresti, of District 118.
