Cadet/CMSgt Kris Kerr and C/MSgt Taylor Mollendorf were among the twenty-three cadets
who attended the Southwest Region Cadet Leadership School (SWRCLS) held at Lackland
Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, from 13-20 Jul 2008. The Senior Staff team consists
of SWRCLS Project Officer, Lt Col Steven Trupp and Medical-1st Lt Cassie Stephens.
The Cadet Staff consists of C/Commandant, C/Maj Lindsay Davis, Alpha Seminar
Leader-C/Capt John Rios, Bravo Seminar Leader-C/Capt Brian Simpson, and Cadet Staff-C/2d Lt Michael Moody.
The cadets worked hard and accomplished endless challenges. Cadets learned to strive
for excellence, seek improvement, push themselves, never set a limit on their potential,
and acknowledge good achievements and accomplishments. The Senior and Cadet Staff
worked tirelessly to teach the Cadets to lead successfully, manage personnel under their
command, understand and improve their leadership skills and styles, how to communicate
for a variety of audiences, and how to plan effectively. Cadets returned home determined
to immediately put these new skills into practice in their home squadron and at Winter Encampment.
